Happy halloween!

Happy Halloween! This year I decided to do the Flintstones. I always get told that Makaylee looks like pebbles so I decided to make her into pebbles! This is my pumpkin!
This is Brian's pumpkin! We were going to drop it off on out neighbors door but it turned out cute (if you can say that) so we kept it, it was pretty funny!

This is the trick-or-treating group all dressed up (other than Fred)!

My cute pebbles!! She liked trick-or-treating! It was kind of funny for the first few house, I think she was kind of confused as to why people were throwing candy in her bag! But she is her mommy's girl and figured it out pretty quick!

First trip to the zoo!

A couple weeks ago we went to the zoo for Makaylee's first time! I think she enjoyed it, but she didn't seem very interested. Her favorite animal there was the HOUSE cat that they put behind a window and gave an exotic name! Seriously the thing looked like a pet and it was the only thing she even showed interest in!
They have a scale down be the elephants that you can weigh yourself and see how you size up to a baby elephant, an adult elephant, some other stuff and the weight of an elephants waste for a year! All three of them on it still didn't pass the lowest one which was a baby elephant!

I was most excited to see all the new baby animals, this was in front of the baby elephant!!

This is Brian and Jacob trying to comunicate with their distant relatives on the other side of the window!! hehehehe (they are little monkeys)

cousin lovin'

This is Dylan displaying some of his love for his favorite cousin!
These two had a blast while Abby was in town!

I told Makaylee to go give Abby a hug and she ended up planting a big kiss on her!

I have to thank Jordan for making this picture so funny! He was so embarassed to have his cousin give him a hug! Thanks Laura for being a good sport!

She had to chase him down to get a hug from him!
Who loves their families......we do!!!

Stewart falls hike

A couple weeks ago we went on a hike up Stewart Falls, it was beautiful! These are not in order but still beautiful, especially the ones with me in them!! hehehe j/k This is at the waterfall looking over towards Sundance.

The waterfall with crazy people, some were crazy enough to stand under the waterfall!

The babies made the trip without breaking a sweat and Makaylee and Alyssa almost made it the whole way without crying!

I am a sucker for bright fall leaves, fall is my favorite!

This is the crew before we started on the hike! We should have looked the same when we got back cause the hike is not very hard (that is the reason I like it so much)!

Makaylee turned 1!!!!

First birthdays are so exciting!! I am pretty sure that I was more excited about her birthday than she was (heheehehe)!!! I started looking at cakes when she was around six months old, trying to decide what cake I would make and what theme I would choose! After all of that, I stole the idea from my cousin Emily, so ........ thanks for the idea!! A couple days before her birthday Brian and I tried to teach her how to blow a candle out, it didn't work!! Oh well, I got to make a birthday wish for her!! Here are some pictures of the night.
This is us singing (good thing I don't have audio)!!!
This is her cake that I am proud to say I made all by myself!! It was so much fun!
We did make her dress up like a ladybug! My friend found the cutest tutu at Swiss Days and got it for her birthday!!

She loved opening her gifts. Yes, i know I look like a dork!

Her new pony from grandma and grandpa (she is still getting used to it)!

The birthday girls! Since Makaylee's birthday was on a Thursday, we threw her birthday party on Friday, which ended up being on Alyssa's birthday! Nothing better than watching somebody else open presents on your birthday!

We, as in Brian, my mom, my brother and myself thought that it would be cute to take her picture with her sitting by the 1 on the 10 yard line at my brothers football game. She hated it!

Camping @ Palisade lake!!

Below is what the boys left us to do on our own....and we conquered!!! The boys pretty much parked the truck, grabbed their golf clubs and ran to make their tee time. Mindy, Makaylee and I being the super awesome people that we are, were able to set our tents up all by ourselves!! That is huge considering she is 6 months pregnant and I pulled my tent out of its box up there!! Us girls even got the charcoal all fired up for dinner. We are awesome!!

The newly weds went out on the canoe. Luckily we were able to rent a canoe, cause after packing our truck (for only two couples), we found out there was no room for the canoe we planned on hauling up there.

The boys getting ready to go on yet another fishing trip on the lake.

I wanted to get a picture of us in the canoe......and looking back i should have thought longer about wanting a picture on the last day of camping with no shower!! yikes!

Brian and Makaylee and in the background is Matt and Kaycie.

Everybody in the canoe except for myself, Makaylee and the preggo (Mindy). Even though this picture makes it look easy to pull a floating chair around a lake, the ones rowing will tell you otherwise, but they couldn't let go cause Matt is a horrible swimmer!!

Kaycie made a hammock for Christmas one year and decided to give it a try up camping. Luckily her and Matt had a good time in it cause Makaylee sure didn't! j/k she had a good time in it when she was by herself.

Jon loves fishing!! He even fishes where on the dock it specifically says "NO FISHING", but apparently it's okay if you step down a foot into the canoe that is tied up to the dock!!!

It finally happened

My brother -in-law finally got married earlier this month! Kaycie is dancing because it finally happened after almost three years. That morning we got to the parking garage at 9:57 (we were supposed to be in the Temple at 10), We should have had plenty of time to walk across the street and get there on time, right? No, we drove around the garage for 30 min. AAAHHHHHHHH!!!!! Once Brian finally found a spot (outside on the street) we ran in and asked if we could still make it in, luckily for us EVERYBODY was running behind! We sat there for probably 10 min. waiting for the ceremony to start. Here are some pictures of the day.
The happy couple.

Makaylee and I with Brian's cousin Stacey and her son Quinton. The babies are a day apart in age.

These are a little out of order so sorry. Here is the car, I am a little upset about it though. Brian went out and bought a bunch of stuff, so we got all the kids and went and decorated it. When the bride and groom were about to leave we went out front and found out the car had been washed off and redecorated. I didn't lose any sleep over it but I did think that our version looked a lot better!!!
This is them being boring, they didn't even drip any frosting on each other. BORING!!!

They being goofy. Who couldn't love those faces???

Brian's sister Chelsea made these. They look awesome! She had a hard time the day before with the fondant but they turned out great!

This is Makaylee cuddling with some random children. hehehehe j/k. I knew them but she doesn't ever do that, I hardly ever get loves like this!

Welcome to the family.....almost!

We had a shower for my sister-in-law to be a couple weeks ago. We had games, food, gifts and the best part....treats! They have been dating for almost 3 years now and when he finally told us he was going to propose i said "it's about time, now lets go look for a ring". So that is what we did. That night we went to the mall and four hours later we found the perfect ring! The next thing was deciding on how to propose. Kaycie (the girlfriend) had moved to New York for a couple months and I decided he should propose with a fake ring, say "you don't like it" and throw it off the Brooklyn bridge!! heheheh He liked the idea. The night before the proposal she told him how some guy proposed and threw the ring off the Brooklyn bridge, so he text me and said he needed another idea and fast! I couldn't think of anything else, in the end he ended up going with the original plan!! He was nervous she was confused but she said "yes". So here we are at the shower. Other than treats, presents are the next best thing!!

I am the receiver of this evil look!! hehehehe I got her something that would totally embarrass her, it worked!!

PDA, gross!
These two are one day apart! He came a little early (his mom was lucky), kind of, that early would be a little scary but he ended up being healthy so I consider her to be lucky!
Now that I am going to have a sister-in-law I have to be on my best behavior. I have, for the last couple years been the favorite sis-in-law (sometimes by default) but now i have competition, bring it on!! hehehe j/k welcome to the family...almost!
