Help??

I was looking through blogs a.k.a.blog stalking, lets call it what it is. Anyway, I was reading a friends and she had her new year's resolutions written down and one of them was learn something new. I thought about it and I also want to learn something new!!! I do need help though. I told Brian I wanted to learn how to crochet and he said "ok, grandma", so I would love any helpful suggestions. What do you do fun that you think I should learn??

Hey, I crochet, at least a little bit...so tell Brian to stuff it! I just do simple crocheting...like make burp clothes out of flannel material and crochet the edges. I've made a couple of purses too. And can't forget potholders! I started when I was doing my Laurel project for YW. I made like 10 leper bandages. THey took forever. The church doesn't ask for those with the humanitarian aid for church anymore, but hopefully they'll start it up again because I can't sew very well to make the bears or dresses. Oh well. I'd say go for crocheting, painting, or sewing. I'd always wanted to learn to paint or sew really well (at least read a pattern!). HOly cow. Sorry for the novel.

Brian is just JEALOUS that he doesn't have mad potholder making skills...so it's okay, I forgive him. Tell him if he's extra nice to me I'll crochet him a toilet seat cover with his name on it...and maybe I'll throw in a plunger cover too.

I agree on the crocheting thing. I was looking at this great website last night and the girl had darling crafts...all crocheted and I wished I knew how to make them. Just make sure the first thing you crochet is a nice hat for Brian. Then he'll really appreciate your new skill.

Tiff , Jayanne or Genevra might be the crocheter's. Ask them I'm sure Erica Carlile can do it. I think Kari G. your neighbor might too.

Carson and I could teach you all about dinosaurs, that's our faorite subject lately! Crocheting is not for grandmas, you have to learn to do it before then so your arthritic fingers won't get in the way!
